Highlights this time around include the usual haunts like Discovery Park and Nine Mile Falls as well as road trips to the Oregon Coast and SW Colorado. We visited the Oregon Dunes where snowy plover nesting grounds are being protected and Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake where you can see large flocks of fall migrants such as American avocets, red-necked phalaropes, northern shovelers, eared grebes, etc... Oh, and one of the few remaining herds of American bison.
